Watch the video and learn about Lion & Cub!
A baby lion is called a cub! Cubs are born with soft fluffy fur and faint little spots, hidden safely in a cozy den.
Lions live on the African savanna โ wide, grassy plains with scattered trees and warm sunshine almost every day!
Lion cubs drink their mama's milk when they are tiny. When they grow bigger, the pride shares meat like zebra and wildebeest.
Mama lioness licks her cub all over to keep it clean, warm, and safe. She carries her cub gently in her mouth when moving to a new den!
Cubs learn to hunt by watching their mama and practicing by pouncing on siblings and their mother's swishing tail!
A lion's roar is SO loud it can be heard five miles away โ that's like roaring all the way across your whole town!
